I have been doing some extensive research on the effects of Obama-care on Medicare.
Although Obama-care has stripped away $716 billion from Medicare to finance the PPACA, the net change to Medicare Advantage Plans does not seem to be anything severe.
Medicare Advantage Plans will receive about $68 less per month per member from Medicare, in terms of premium. This may mean a cut in some of those extra benefits like gym memberships, vision or dental benefits, over the counter meds, etc..
As far as the nuts and bolts of Medicare Advantage Plans I think they shall remain pretty similar to what they are today.
As I always advise my clients, you have assess your plans annually.
